OPP have opened an investigation of the Leduc Snack Bar fire.

Police are asking for help from the public with their investigation of the May 26 fire that destroyed the Leduc Snack Bar at 551 Main Street East in Hawkesbury.

Both the Hawkesbury and L’Orignal fire departments were involved in fighting the fire, which began late in the evening that day.

An OPP incident brief states that “the fire department advised that there were signs the fire had been deliberately set.”

Both the Hawkesbury OPP Crime Unit and the Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office are now investigating the case.
