Police executed a search warrant June 17 at a residence in Embrun as part of an investigation about online child sexual exploitation. Members of the OPP Child Sexual Exploitation Unit, the Digital Forensics Unit, and the Russell County OPP detachment took part in the raid.

Jean-Phillippe Sarault, 34, was arrested and is charged with two counts of possession of child pornography and one count of making child pornography available. Police are holding him in custody pending his bail hearing.

The OPP incident brief noted that during the raid police seized a number of electronic exhibits for further examination as part of the ongoing investigation.
