For the second consecutive year graduation celebrations for Grade 12 students will be limited because of the pandemic.

The Upper Canada District School Board (UCDSB) is working on final details with administration staff at all of its schools for a modified graduation ceremonies plan for members of the Class of 2021.

The plan will include virtual graduation ceremonies through available online presentations. These ceremonies will be complemented by drive-through or home-delivery events for presentation to individual students of their diplomas and any bursaries, scholarships, or other special awards that they have earned, along with a commemorative graduation gift.

There may also be an option available for students to do an actual walk-through across the stage at their home school while dressed in their graduation cap and gown, followed by a graduation photo opportunity. The photo would be included as part of the virtual graduation ceremony.
