Police arrest two men during drug seizure

Two Hawkesbury men face charges following a police drug raid.

Ryan Parsons, 38, and Eric Dubord, 32, both of Hawkesbury face several charges under the Criminal Code and under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

The charges resulted from a police search-and-seizure operation August 10 at a residence on Mary Street in Hawkesbury. The operation involved members of the OPP East Region Community Street Crime Unit, the Tactical Response Team, the Emergency Response Team, the K9 Unit, and the Hawkesbury OPP detachment.

Armed with a search warrant police went through the premises and seized an unspecified amount of methamphetamine and cocaine, more than $1000 in Canadian currency, and various items used in drug trafficking.

Parsons is charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and with failure to comply with a legal release order.

Dubord is charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order, and possession of property under $5000 value obtained by crime.

Both accuses were scheduled to appear in provincial court in L’Orignal August 10.
