The Vankleek Hill Fair is upon us!
The Vankleek Hill Fair is back! The 174th edition takes place Thursday, August 16, until Sunday, August 19.
The Vankleek Hill tradition is in full swing this weekend. The festivities begin Thursday, August 16, with activities throughout the entire day. The fair kicked off this morning as the cattle arrived. The Midway will also be opened, along with the annual parade later on in the evening.
On Friday, August 17, there will be an artisan exhibit on display in the morning, heavy horse line classes, variety circus performers, a horse-pull competition, as well as a performance from The Hallions in the evening. There are plenty of activities for people of all ages throughout the entire weekend and there will be home-cooked dinners served every day in the Dining Hall, one at 11:30 a.m. and another at 4 p.m.
The Kids Tractor Pull will take place Saturday afternoon, as well as the North American Six-Horse-Hitch Classic, along with shows from Meet the Keepers and The Cowguys. The Demolition Derby will take place at 7 p.m. Saturday night, followed by a performance by The Lefties in the Show Barn.
The fun continues all day Sunday from 8:30 a.m. until 7 p.m. The Vankleek Hill Fair will conclude with the Mariners Curse from 3 to 7 p.m. in the Show Barn. There will be a variety of other activities going on throughout the entire day as well, including another tractor pull, pony rides, machinery displays and several other performances.
