L’Orignal Packing receives $ 100 000 as part of a women entrepeneurship initiative
L’Orignal Packing has received $ 100 000 from the federal government.
MP Francis Drouin announced an investment of $ 100 000 in L’Orignal Packing as part of the federal government’s Women Entrepreneurship Strategy, a $ 2-billion investment that seeks to double the number of women-owned businesses by 2025.
The owner of L’Orignal Packing, Christine Bonneau-O’Neill, wishes to use this money as part of branding and marketing investment, in order to redesign and rebrand the packing of products made in-house and to explore digital advertising in order to stimulate growth and reach new markets.
“The women entrepreneurs and business leaders of Glengarry-Prescott-Russell make incredible contributions to our economy and community every day,” said Drouin. Christine is a leader within the Prescott and Russell business community and I am proud of our government’s investment in her business. L’Orignal Packaging is a staple in Champlain Township and I look forward to seeing the results of this project.
The announcement was made by Francis Drouin at L’Orignal Packing on Wednesday April 17 in the presence of Champlain Township Mayor Normand Riopel, as well as city councilors and community members.
