Four prescott-russell men arrested in break-in incident in South Stormont
Sebastien Taillon, 25, of Plantagenet, Mathieu Mainville, 24, of Hawkesbury, Rolland Jr. Parent, 24, of Plantagenet and 16-year-old male from Clarence-Rockland were arrested on March 28 after Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry OPP officers responded to a report of a break-in in progress in South Stormont.
The OPP officers arrived at the residence at approximately 6:56 a.m. According to police, the four men attempted to enter the residence and were confronted by the homeowner. The suspects then fled the residence, but were located by police a short distance away.
Taillon and Parent were both charged with Break and Enter of a dwelling house, Break and Enter with intent to steal a firearm and Possession of break in instruments. Taillon was also charged with two counts of Failure to comply with conditions of a probation order. Taillon was held in custody and was scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on March 29, while Parent was released and is scheduled to appear in court on April 25.
Mainville and the 16-year-old male from Clarence-Rockland, whose identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, were charged with Break and Enter of a dwelling house. Mainville is scheduled to appear in court on April 23, while the unidentified male is scheduled to appear in court on April 25.
