Been to the Bean Fest?
Good weather, good food, good times over the weekend in Plantagenet at the annual Bean Fest.
“It was a wonderful weekend,” said Alain Lapensée, festival spokesman. “It was just amazing.”
More than 7000 people gathered at the grounds of l’Ecole secondaire catholique de Plantagenet, the site for this year’s festival.
Starting from the live music and shows Friday evening to finish Sunday afternoon with the announcement of the winner of the My Grandmother’s Beans Are the Best cookoff competition, this year’s Bean Fest provided fun and food for everyone’s taste.
The Strongman Challenge show saw audiences of more than 1500 crowd under the big tent Saturday and Sunday to watch strongman champions from Eastern and Western Canada compete in a title match with Jean-François Caron marking his seventh win of the Canadian Strongman title.
