Arrests made in connection to BB shooting
The Russell County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Rockland detachment recently apprehended two suspects connected to the drive by BB gun shooting that took place earlier this month.
On November 12, at approximately 2 p.m., officers received a complaint about a suspicious vehicle, with possibly four occupants, driving southbound on Caron Street and firing an airsoft pistol randomly at young people jogging in Rockland. No injuries were sustained. As a result of the investigation, officers arrested and charged one youth and two adults.
Antoine Cléroux and Gabriel St-Amour, both aged 18, of Rockland and Fournier respectively, were charged with one count of assault with a weapon and one count of possession of imitation weapon for dangerous purpose.
The youth's name cannot be released under the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA) but he is facing the same charges. All three are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in L'Orignal on December 19, 2018.
